    TERMA DAN SYARAT
    PROMOSI KONTRAK LANGGANAN – TERMA DAN SYARAT KEMPEN TABLET BERITA HARIAN

    Terakhir dikemaskini pada 26 Jun 2020

    1. Penyertaan dalam promosi langganan ini tertakluk kepada terma-terma di sini (“Terma & Syarat Khusus”) dan Terma dan Syarat Standard yang terdapat di atas (“Terma & Syarat Standard”). Sekiranya terdapat sebarang percanggahan antara Terma & Syarat Standard dan Terma & Syarat Khusus, Terma & Syarat Khusus akan digunakan.
    2. Promosi ini adalah untuk Pakej Berita Tablet Berita Harian (“Pakej”) dan sah sepanjang tempoh dari 18 September 2019 hingga tarikh yang ditentukan oleh SPH mengikut budi bicara mutlaknya (“Tempoh Promosi”), bagi orang-orang di Singapura yang bersetuju untuk melanggan, dan mengekalkan langganan mereka berkenaan dengan Pakej untuk tempoh langganan minimum selama 24 bulan (“Tempoh Langganan Minimum”), tertakluk kepada terma dan syarat yang dinyatakan di sini. Promosi ini tidak sah dengan promosi dan tawaran bundel lain.
    3. Kelayakan:

      Tertakluk kepada syarat-syarat berikut, promosi ini terbuka kepada semua warganegara dan penduduk tetap Singapura dan pekerja asing yang tinggal di Singapura yang mempunyai permit kerja atau pas yang sah untuk sekurang-kurangnya 24 bulan dari tarikh penyerahan permohonan langganan.
                  3.1 Golongan pelanggan berikut (secara kolektif, “Pelanggan yang Layak”) layak untuk promosi ini:
          3.1.1 Pelanggan baru (“Pelanggan Baru”): Pelanggan yang tidak mempunyai langganan pada Pakej.

          3.1.2 Pelanggan vendor (“Pelanggan Vendor”):
          Pelanggan sedia ada The Straits Times yang sedang membayar yuran langganan mereka kepada vendor akhbar. Dengan langganan di bawah Promosi ini, langganan vendor akhbar akan ditukar ke Langganan Secara Langsung dengan SPH.

                  3.2 Golongan pelanggan berikut (secara kolektif, “Pelanggan Sedia Ada”) layak untuk promosi ini:
          3.2.1 Pelanggan sedia ada yang telah melanggan Berita Harian di bawah pelan langganan sedia ada (“Pelan Langganan Sedia Ada”) dengan SPH yang diperbaharui secara automatik secara bulanan (“Pelanggan Bulanan Sedia Ada”) boleh memilih untuk mengekalkan Pelan Langganan Sedia Ada mereka dan melanggan Pakej ini. Sila rujuk kepada perenggan 7(b) di bawah untuk maklumat lanjut.

          3.2.2 Pelanggan sedia ada yang telah melanggan Berita Harian di bawah kontrak sedia ada (“Kontrak Sedia Ada”) dengan SPH yang mempunyai tempoh langganan minimum (“Pelanggan Kontrak Sedia Ada”) boleh memilih untuk: (a) mengekalkan Kontrak Sedia Ada dan melanggan Pakej; atau (b) meminta penamatan awal untuk Kontrak Sedia Ada mereka dan melanggan Pakej ini. Sila rujuk kepada perenggan 7(c) dan 7(d) di bawah untuk maklumat lanjut.

    4. Untuk maklumat mengenai bila langganan anda untuk Pakej akan bermula, sila rujuk kepada huraian di bawah:
        4.1 Pelanggan Baru
                    4.1.1. Bagi permohonan yang diterima melalui platform langganan SPH, langganan berkenaan dengan Pakej akan bermula pada atau sekitar 2 hari bekerja selepas permohonan langganan diterima oleh SPH.
                    4.1.2 Bagi permohonan yang diterima melalui panggilan, langganan akan bermula sama ada pada hari pertama atau hari ke-15 pada bulan yang akan datang (tertakluk kepada masa untuk memproses permohonan selama 7 - 9 hari bekerja).
        4.2 Pelanggan Vendor
                    4.2.1 Bagi permohonan yang diterima dari 1 hingga 15 haribulan bulan semasa, langganan secara langsung dengan SPH akan bermula pada hari pertama bulan yang akan datang.
                    4.2.2 Bagi permohonan yang diterima dari 16 hingga 31 haribulan bulan semasa, langganan secara langsung dengan SPH akan bermula pada hari pertama bulan berikutnya.
        4.3 Pelanggan Sedia Ada
                    4.3.1 Bagi permohonan yang diterima melalui platform langganan SPH, langganan berkenaan dengan Pakej akan bermula pada atau sekitar 2 hari bekerja selepas permohonan langganan diterima oleh SPH.
                    4.3.2 Bagi permohonan yang diterima melalui panggilan, langganan akan bermula sama ada pada hari pertama atau hari ke-15 pada bulan yang akan datang (tertakluk kepada masa untuk memproses permohonan selama 7 - 9 hari bekerja).
    5. Untuk layak untuk Peranti Berita Tablet Samsung (“Peranti”), anda mesti:

      (a) mengambil langganan baru untuk Pakej ini atau, tambah kepada pakej langganan sedia ada;

      (b) bersetuju untuk mengekalkan langganan anda pada Pakej tanpa sebarang perubahan pada pakej langganan anda sepanjang Tempoh Langganan Minimum (di mana “Tempoh Langganan Minimum” ditakrifkan dalam perenggan 2 di atas yang bermaksud tempoh selama 24 bulan) yang berkaitan dengan langganan anda; dan

      (c) borang permohonan langganan anda yang lengkap mesti diterima oleh SPH semasa Tempoh Promosi.

    6. SPH berhak untuk menentukan kelayakan anda untuk promosi ini mengikut budi bicara tunggal dan mutlaknya dan keputusannya di atas adalah muktamad dan berkekalan. Setiap pelanggan layak untuk menerima satu Peranti untuk setiap langganan.

    7. Pakej ini adalah seperti berikut:

      Tempoh Langganan Minimum

      24-bulan

      Bayaran yang terlibat
      Pelanggan Baru dan Pelanggan Vendor
        (a) Pelanggan Baru dan Pelanggan Vendor boleh memilih untuk membayar yuran langganan mereka
        untuk Pakej ini melalui kaedah berikut:
                  (i) Bayaran bulanan sebanyak S$19.90 sebulan;
                 (ii) Bayaran tahunan sebanyak S$238.80 untuk yuran langganan selama 12 bulan berkenaan dengan Pakej; ATAU
                 (iii) Satu-kali bayaran pendahuluan sebanyak S$477.60 untuk yuran langganan selama 24 bulan berkenaan dengan Pakej. Pilihan bayaran pendahuluan ini hanya tersedia untuk pelanggan yang menghubungi Perkhidmatan Pelanggan SPH.

      Pelanggan Sedia Ada
        (b) Pelanggan Bulanan Sedia Ada yang memilih untuk mengekalkan Pelan Langganan Sedia Ada dan melanggan Pakej ini boleh memilih untuk membayar yuran langganan mereka melalui kaedah berikut:
                  (i) Bayaran bulanan yang termasuk: (a) yuran langganan bulanan berkenaan dengan Pelan Langganan Sedia Ada; dan (b) bayaran tambahan sebanyak S$14.90 sebulan untuk yuran langganan berkenaan dengan Pakej;
                  (ii) Bayaran tahunan bagi jumlah yang sama dengan jumlah: (a) yuran langganan sedia ada selama 12 bulan berkenaan dengan Pelan Langganan Sedia Ada; dan (b) jumlah sebanyak S$178.80 untuk yuran langganan selama 12 bulan berkenaan dengan Pakej; ATAU
                  (iii) Satu-kali bayaran pendahuluan bagi jumlah yang sama dengan jumlah: (a) yuran langganan sedia ada selama 24 bulan berkenaan dengan Pelan Langganan Sedia Ada; dan (b) jumlah sebnyak S$357.60 untuk yuran langganan selama 24 bulan berkenaan dengan Pakej. Pilihan bayaran pendahuluan ini hanya tersedia untuk pelanggan yang menghubungi Perkhidmatan Pelanggan SPH.
        (c) Pelanggan Kontrak Sedia Ada yang memilih untuk mengekalkan Kontrak Sedia Ada mereka dan melanggan Pakej boleh memilih untuk membayar yuran langganan mereka melalui kaedah berikut:
                  (i) Bayaran bulanan yang termasuk: (a) yuran langganan bulanan berkenaan dengan Kontrak Sedia Ada; dan (b) bayaran tambahan sebanyak S$19.90 sebulan untuk yuran langganan berkenaan dengan Pakej;
                  (ii) Bayaran bulanan untuk yuran langganan bulanan yang berkenaan dengan Kontrak Sedia Ada dan bayaran tahunan sebanyak S$238.80 untuk yuran langganan selama 12 bulan berkenaan dengan Pakej; ATAU
                  (iii) Bayaran bulanan untuk yuran langganan bulanan yang berkenaan dengan Kontrak Sedia Ada dan satu-kali bayaran pendahuluan sebanyak S$477.60 untuk yuran langganan selama 24 bulan berkenaan dengan Pakej. Pilihan bayaran pendahuluan ini hanya tersedia untuk pelanggan yang menghubungi Perkhidmatan Pelanggan SPH.
        (d) Pelanggan Sedia Ada yang memilih penamatan awal untuk Kontrak Sedia Ada mereka dan melanggan Pakej ini boleh memilih untuk membayar yuran yang ditetapkan melalui kaedah berikut:
                  (i) Bayaran penamatan awal di bawah Kontrak Sedia Ada dan bayaran bulanan sebanyak S$19.90 sebulan untuk yuran langganan berkenaan dengan Pakej;
                  (ii) Bayaran penamatan awal di bawah Kontrak Sedia Ada dan bayaran tahunan sebanyak S$238.80 untuk yuran langganan selama 12 bulan berkenaan dengan Pakej itu; ATAU
                  (iii) Satu-kali bayaran pendahuluan bagi jumlah yang sama dengan jumlah: (a) yuran penamatan awal di bawah Kontrak Sedia Ada; dan (b) jumlah sebanyak S$477.60 untuk yuran langganan selama 24 bulan berkenaan dengan Pakej.

        Pilihan penamatan awal ini hanya tersedia untuk Pelanggan Sedia Ada yang menghubungi Perkhidmatan Pelanggan SPH.
    8. SPH mempunyai hak, mengikut budi bicara tunggal dan mutlaknya, untuk mengganti Peranti dengan peranti lain yang sama nilainya.

    9. Pemilikan
        9.1. (Hanya berkenaan kepada Pelanggan Berulang) Semua hak, hak milik dan saham dalam Peranti akan hanya diserahkan kepada Pelanggan Berulang apabila (a) SPH menerima pembayaran penuh untuk yuran langganan dan yuran Pakej yang dikenakan bagi tempoh kontrak selama 24 bulan dan (b) kepuasan terhadap syarat konfigurasi di bawah perenggan 10.1 di bawah (“Syarat Konfigurasi”). Jika tidak, tertakluk kepada perenggan 11.1, SPH akan mengekalkan semua hak, hak milik dan saham dalam Peranti yang disediakan untuk setiap Pelanggan Berulang dan Pelanggan Berulang bersetuju untuk tidak menjual semula atau memberi sahamnya dalam Peranti itu sepanjang tempoh tersebut. Sekiranya Pelanggan Berulang menamatkan langganan Pakej sebelum tamat tempoh kontrak selama 24 bulan, yuran penamatan dalam perenggan 14 di bawah akan dikenakan.

        9.2. (Hanya berkenaan kepada Pelanggan Berulang) Pada akhir tempoh kontrak selama 24 bulan dan setelah yuran langganan dan yuran berkenaan dengan Pakej dibayar dengan penuh dan setelah Syarat Konfigurasi dipenuhi, Peranti akan menjadi harta tunggal dan eksklusif Pelanggan Berulang.

        9.3 (Hanya berkenaan dengan pelanggan yang memilih (a)(iii), (b)(iii), (c)(iii) atau (d)(iii) dalam perenggan 7 di atas) Pelanggan yang membayar yuran langganan berkenaan dengan Pakej melalui satu-kali bayaran pendahuluan dan memenuhi Syarat Konfigurasi akan memiliki semua hak, tajuk dan saham dalam Peranti apabila SPH telah menerima satu-kali bayaran pendahuluan SPH dan Syarat Konfigurasi telah dipenuhi.

        9.4 Walaupun pemilikan Peranti boleh dipindahkan kepada anda mengikut terma yang terkandung di sini, setiap pelanggan mengakui dan bersetuju bahawa SPH memiliki dan mengekalkan semua hak dan saham, termasuk semua hak harta intelektual yang berkenaan dengan program KNOX.

    10. Penebusan
        10.1 "Peranti mesti ditebus oleh pelanggan melalui (a) pusat penebusan berita tablet yang ditentukan atau (b) Perkhidmatan Penghantaran Ke Rumah megikut arahan dan syarat seperti yang dinyatakan dalam Surat Penebusan Hadiah yang akan anda terima dalam waktu dua (2) hari bekerja selepas pembelian langganan anda berjaya (untuk Pelanggan Baru) atau tarikh permulaan langganan secara langsung anda dengan SPH (untuk Pelanggan Vendor dan Pelanggan Sedia Ada), dengan syarat anda memenuhi semua kriteria kelayakan yang relevan. Peranti yang tidak ditebus oleh anda dalam masa empat (4) minggu dari tarikh Surat Penebusan Hadiah (atau jangka waktu lain yang dinyatakan dalam surat itu) akan dilucutkan. Sekiranya berlaku sedemikian, untuk mengelakkan keraguan, tanggungjawab anda di bawah syarat-syarat di sini (termasuk, tanpa batasan, kewajipan anda untuk mengekalkan langganan anda untuk Tempoh Langganan Minimum) akan terus berlaku sepenuhnya.

        10.2 Para pelanggan mungkin tidak dapat mengkonfigurasi Peranti dan memasang program KNOX itu secara sendiri. Sekiranya Pelanggan enggan membenarkan Peranti untuk menjalani konfigurasi megikut perenggan 10.1 di atas, tertakluk kepada perenggan 10.3 di bawah, dia akan dianggap telah kehilangan langganannya pada Pakej itu dan pembatalan dan bayaran balik akan diproses dalam tempoh 7 hari bekerja seterusnya.

        10.3 Mana-mana Peranti, sekali dibuka mengikut arahan dan / atau persetujuan Pelanggan, akan dianggap sebagai dibeli dan ditebus oleh Pelanggan dan Pakej tidak boleh dibatalkan dan dikembalikan. Semua terma yang dinyatakan di atas akan dikenakan dengan serta merta dan, jika Syarat Konfigurasi tidak dipenuhi, maka Pelanggan akan dianggap telah menamatkan Langganan Kontrak sebelum tamat tempoh Langganan Minimum dan sewajarnya harus membayar SPH jumlah yang kena dibayar di perenggan 14 di bawah.

    11. Kehilangan dan kerosakan
        11.1 Pelanggan hendaklah menerima dan menanggung (a) keseluruhan risiko kerugian dan kerosakan pada Peranti dari sebarang punca dan (ii) apa-apa dan semua kos yang terlibat untuk membaiki dan / atau menggantikan Peranti pada and dari masa penebusan Vendor dan Pelanggan Sedia Ada), dengan syarat anda memenuhi semua kriteria kelayakan yang berkaitan. Peranti yang tidak ditebus dalam masa 4 minggu dari tarikh Surat Penebusan Hadiah Peranti. Tiada kerugian atau kerosakan pada Peranti atau mana-mana bahagiannya akan menjejaskan sebarang kewajipan Pelanggan untuk langganannya yang akan terus berkuatkuasa dan berkesan sepanjang tempoh kontrak langganan.

        11.2 Sekiranya pelanggan kehilangan Peranti, dia boleh membuat permintaan secara bertulis kepada SPH untuk mengunci Peranti dari jauh dan menyekat akses kepada program KNOX yang tertanam dalam Peranti.

    12. Di mana Peranti ditawarkan oleh SPH berkaitan dengan langganan anda, terma tambahan berikut akan dikenakan: (a) Peranti hanya tersedia semasa stok masih ada; pertukaran tidak dibenarkan selepas permohonan langganan dihantar ke SPH; (b) Anda bersetuju dan mengakui bahawa tiada representasi atau waranti dalam apa jua jenis, tersirat, nyata atau statutori, termasuk tanpa batasan jaminan yang tidak melanggar hak pihak ketiga, hak milik, kebolehdagangan, kualiti atau kecergasan untuk sebarang tujuan akan diberikan oleh SPH berkenaan dengan Peranti. SPH tidak akan melayan apa-apa permintaan untuk mengeluarkan apa-apa bayaran balik atau memberikan pertukaran berkenaan dengan mana-mana Peranti yang didapati rosak atau tidak sesuai digunakan, atau atas apa-apa sebab lain; dan (c) Peranti mesti ditebus oleh pelanggan mengikut arahan dan terma yang dinyatakan dalam Surat Penebusan Hadiah yang akan anda terima dalam masa dua hari bekerja selepas pembelian langganan anda berjaya (untuk Pelanggan Baru) atau tarikh permulaan langganan secara langsung dengan SPH (untuk Pelanggan (atau tempoh lain yang dinyatakan dalam surat itu) akan ditarik balik. Dalam keadaan sedemikian, untuk mengelakkan keraguan, kewajipan anda di bawah terma-terma di sini (termasuk tanpa batasan kewajipan anda untuk mengekalkan langganan anda untuk Tempoh Langganan Minimum) akan diteruskan sepenuhnya.

    13. Perkhidmatan Penghantaran Ke Rumah
      Pelanggan boleh memilih untuk menebus Peranti melalui perkhidmatan penghantaran ke rumah ("Perkhidmatan Penghantaran Rumah") dengan bayaran S$15 setiap Peranti ("Bayaran Penghantaran Ke Rumah").

      Penyedia khidmat akan membuat penghantaran dalam masa 14 hari bekerja dari tarikh pembelian langganan. Penghantaran boleh dijadualkan secara langsung oleh pelanggan melalui sistem temujanji sendiri dan penyedia perkhidmatan akan menghubungi pelanggan untuk mengesahkan tarikh penghantaran dalam masa tujuh (7) hari bekerja. Semua pertanyaan untuk membatalkan atau menjadualkan semula temujanji harus dibuat secara langsung ke penyedia perkhidmatan, dan SPH tidak akan menangani permintaan atau pertanyaan yang berkaitan dengannya.

      Akan terdapat maksimum tiga (3) percubaan. Tiada pengembalian wang bagi Yuran Penghantaran Rumah selepas 3 percubaan diselesaikan. Tambahan $15 akan dikenakan bagi sebarang percubaan penghantaran tambahan yang diminta.

    14. Selepas tamatnya Tempoh Langganan Minimum, anda bersetuju bahawa langganan anda bagi Pakej ini akan terus berkuatkuasa atas terma yang ditetapkan untuk langganan tersebut sehingga dan melainkan anda memberi notis secara bertulis kepada SPH bahawa anda ingin menamatkannya mengikut terma yang ditetapkan. Dengan penamatan langganan anda untuk Pakej setelah Tempoh Langganan Minimum berakhir, program KNOX yang tertanam dalam Peranti anda akan dikeluarkan dalam masa 4 minggu.

      (Hanya berkenaan dengan pelanggan yang mempunyai Pelan Langganan Sedia Ada atau Kontrak Sedia Ada pada masa langganan untuk Pakej) Untuk mengelakkan keraguan, jika terdapat sebarang percanggahan antara terma dan syarat langganan untuk langganan sedia ada dan Terma & Syarat Khusus berkenaan dengan Pakej ini, Terma & Syarat Khusus akan digunakan. Jika Kontrak Sedia Ada mengandungi tempoh langganan minimum dan menyatakan bahawa yuran penamatan akan dibayar sekiranya berlaku penamatan sebelum habis tempoh langganan minimum di bawah Kontrak Sedia Ada tersebut, pelanggan akan bertanggungjawab untuk membayar semua yuran penamatan yang berkenaan di bawah Kontrak Sedia Ada dan / atau di bawah Terma & Syarat Khusus ini (mengikut mana-mana yang berkenaan), sekiranya langganan itu ditamatkan sebelum habis tempoh langganan minimum di bawah Kontrak Sedia Ada si pelanggan dan / atau Terma & Syarat Khusus ini .

    15. Sekiranya anda menamatkan Kontrak Langganan sebelum tamat Tempoh Langganan Minimum untuk apa jua sebab, atau anda gagal membayar SPH apa-apa jumlah wang pada bila-bila masa semasa Tempoh Langganan Minimum dan apabila SPH melaksanakan hak-haknya di bawah Terma & Syarat Standard untuk menamatkan langganan anda, yuran dan caj berikut juga akan dikenakan dan harus dibayar oleh anda kepada SPH atas notis SPH:
      a. yuran pentadbiran sebanyak $20;
      b. yuran penamatan sebanyak $500 jika Tempoh Langganan Minimum adalah dua puluh empat (24) bulan.

      Untuk mengelakkan keraguan, jika anda menamatkan langganan anda untuk Pakej sebelum tamat Tempoh Langganan Minimum, yuran dalam perenggan 14 ini akan dikenakan dan harus dibayar oleh anda. Sekiranya berlaku penamatan langganan untuk Pakej sebelum habis Tempoh Langganan Minimum untuk apa jua sebab, (a) semua hak pelanggan di bawah Pakej tersebut (termasuk, tanpa had, Waranti Produk Standard (seperti yang ditakrifkan di bawah) dan sebarang pelanjutan di sini) akan diberhentikan dan (b) semua jumlah yang dibayar sebelum tarikh penamatan (termasuk, tanpa had, apa-apa jumlah tambahan yang dibayar di bawah perenggan 16 untuk melanjutkan Waranti Produk Standard) tidak akan dikembalikan.

    16. Melainkan jika SPH sudah menyatakan sebaliknya secara jelas, setiap pelanggan hanya boleh menikmati satu Pakej pada bila-bila masa, dan tidak boleh digunakan bersamaan dengan promosi atau tawaran lain. Pelanggan mengakui bahawa Peranti disediakan berkaitan dengan Pakej tersebut dan bersetuju untuk tidak menjual, menyewakan, mempajak dan / atau mengedarkan Peranti

    17. Pengilang Peranti menyediakan waranti produk standard selama 12-bulan standard (“Waranti Produk Standard”) berkenaan dengan Peranti dan pelanggan dikehendaki untuk mendaftar dan mengaktifkan waranti secara online di bhsub.sg/warranty.

      Pelanggan boleh, pada masa penyerahan permohonan langganan, memilih untuk melanjutkan Waranti Produk Standard dengan tambahan tempoh selama 12 bulan dan, dalam hal ini, pelanggan akan diminta untuk membayar jumlah tambahan sebanyak S$3 sebulan sepanjang Tempoh Langganan Minimum. Pilihan untuk melanjutkan Waranti Produk Standard hanya tersedia pada masa penyerahan permohonan langganan. Semua jumlah yang dibayar untuk melanjutkan Waranti Produk Standard di sini tidak akan dikembalikan.

      Sekiranya Peranti rosak atau mempunyai kecacatan semasa tempoh waranti di bawah Waranti Produk Standard (dan sebarang pelanjutan selepasnya), pelanggan bertanggungjawab untuk membawa semula Peranti dan surat penebusan yang asli ke salah satu pusat perkhidmatan yang dinyatakan di dalam Surat Pengakuan Penebusan Hadiah. Maklumat lanjut mengenai perlindungan waranti standard kepada Peranti boleh didapati di bhsub.sg/warranty; sementara itu, pelanggan akan dapat mengakses penerbitan di beritaharian.sg/ dan mempunyai akses serentak ke aplikasi telefon bimbit Berita Harian pada satu peranti. Pelanggan bersetuju untuk menanggung semua kos dan perbelanjaan yang berkaitan dengan pembaikian atau penggantian Peranti pada bila-bila masa dan sepanjang masa.

      Semua perkara yang berkaitan dengan Waranti Produk Standard (dan sebarang pelanjutan selepasnya) adalah antara pelanggan dan pengilang dan SPH tidak akan bertanggungjawab untuk apa-apa percanggahan atau perubahan (jika ada) berkenaan dengan di atas. SPH juga tidak akan bertanggungjawab untuk sebarang tuntutan, tindakan atau aduan yang dibuat secara langsung atau tidak, atau sebarang liabiliti, pertimbangan, kompaun, penalti, kerugian, kos, ganti rugi, perbelanjaan, kecederaan peribadi atau kematian yang berkaitan dengan Waranti Produk Standard (dan sebarang pelanjutan di atas).

      Sekiranya Peranti hilang atau jika anda ingin mengganti Peranti atas sebab-sebab lain, sila hubungi SPH di 6388 3838 untuk membeli peranti Samsung yang baru. Aplikasi Tab SPH dan program KNOX hanya tersedia pada tablet Samsung yang dikeluarkan oleh SPH dan / atau ejen dan pusat servis yang sah. SPH dan / atau ejen dan pusat servis yang sah tidak akan dapat mengkonfigurasi dan memasukkan aplikasi Tab SPH dan program KNOX pada tablet atau peranti yang dibeli melalui saluran lain.

    18. Dengan melanggani Pakej ini, anda memberi kebenaran dan bersetuju bahawa SPH dan syarikat-syarikat berkaitan dengannya berhak untuk menguruskan ciri-ciri program KNOX yang terkandung di dalam Peranti anda, termasuk tetapi tidak terhad kepada keupayaan untuk (a) membuat pengubahsuaian dan perubahan dari jauh kepada konfigurasi, penggunaan dan pengurusan antara muka Peranti, grafik, klip audio, kandungan editorial, imej dan / atau video, serta skrip dan perisian yang digunakan untuk melaksanakan program KNOX; (b) memasang aplikasi dari jauh (termasuk aplikasi dari SPH dan syarikat-syarikat berkaitan dengannya dan / atau pihak ketiga yang lain) pada Peranti ; (c) membuat pengubahsuaian dan perubahan dari jauh ke kertas dinding dan imej skrin kunci Peranti; dan (d) menghantar iklan, maklumat pemasaran dan komunikasi lain melalui nota, notifikasi tolak atau dalam bentuk atau media lain pada Peranti anda. Jika, semasa Tempoh Langganan Minimum, anda gagal membayar kepada SPH apa-apa jumlah ketika dan bila-bila masa yang telah ditetapkan, anda bersetuju dan memberi kebenaran untuk SPH untuk mengunci Peranti anda dari jauh dan menyekat akses ke program KNOX yang tertanam di dalam Peranti.

    19. Dengan melanggan Pakej ini, anda bersetuju dan memberi kebenaran kepada SPH dan syarikat yang berkaitan dengannya untuk mengumpul, menggunakan dan mendedahkan diagnostik, teknikal, penggunaan dan data atau maklumat berkaitan lain, termasuk tetapi tidak terhad kepada, sistem unik atau pengecam perkakasan dan maklumat mengenai Peranti anda yang akan dikumpul secara berkala dalam bentuk anonim untuk meningkatkan produk dan perkhidmatan SPH, memudahkan penyediaan kemaskini perisian, sokongan produk dan untuk tujuan yang ditetapkan dalam Polisi Privasi SPH.

    20. SPH dan syarikat-syarikat berkaitan dengannya tidak akan bertanggungjawab atau menanggung sebarang kerugian (termasuk tanpa had sebarang kerugian dan kerosakan kepada kehilangan keuntungan secara tidak langsung atau berbangkit, gangguan perniagaan atau kehilangan maklumat), liabiliti, perbelanjaan, tuntutan dan kos yang timbul daripada atau berkaitan dengan Peranti, termasuk tetapi tidak terhad kepada, sebarang kecederaan, kerosakan, kematian atau akibat lain yang berlaku atau yang dikatakan berlaku kepada mana-mana orang secara langsung atau tidak langsung, pemilikan atau penggunaan Peranti itu sama ada dituntut oleh sebab pelanggaran jaminan, kecuaian, kecacatan produk atau sebaliknya, dan tanpa mengira bentuk di mana tuntutan sedemikian dibuat, kecuali bagi apa-apa liabiliti yang tidak boleh dikecualikan oleh undang-undang yang berkenaan (dalam kes sedemikian, liabiliti itu terhad pada tahap yang dibenarkan oleh undang-undang yang berkenaan).

    21. SPH boleh, mengikut budi bicara mutlaknya, mengubah atau menyemak semula Terma & Syarat Khusus dan / atau menamatkan atau menarik balik promosi ini pada bila-bila masa tanpa notis terlebih dahulu.

    CONTRACT SUBSCRIPTION PROMOTION – BERITA HARIAN NEWS TABLET CAMPAIGN TERMS AND CONDITIONS

    1. Participation in this subscription promotion is subject to the terms herein (the "Specific T&Cs") and the Standard Terms and Conditions available above (the "General T&Cs"). In the event of any inconsistency between the General T&Cs and the Specific T&Cs, the Specific T&Cs shall prevail.
    2. This promotion is for the Berita Harian News Tablet Package (the "Package") and is valid during the period commencing from 18 September 2019 to such date as may be determined by SPH in its sole and absolute discretion (the "Promotion Period"), for persons in Singapore who agree to subscribe for, and maintain their subscription in respect of, the Package for a minimum subscription period of 24 months (the "Minimum Subscription Period"), subject to the terms and conditions set out herein. This promotion is not valid with other promotions and bundle deals.
    3. Eligibility

      Subject to the following conditions, this promotion is open to all Singapore citizens and permanent residents and foreign workers who reside in Singapore and have work permits or passes which are valid for at least 24 months from the date of submission of the subscription application.
        3.1 The following groups of subscribers (collectively, the "Eligible Subscribers") are eligible for this promotion:
                    3.1.1 New subscribers ("New Subscribers"): Subscribers who do not currently have a subscription to the Package.

                    3.1.2 Vendor subscribers ("Vendor Subscribers"):
          Existing subscribers of The Straits Times who are currently paying their subscription fees to a newspaper vendor. Upon subscription under this Promotion, the newspaper vendor subscription will be converted into Direct Subscriptions with SPH.

        3.2 The following groups of subscribers (collectively, the "Existing Subscribers") are eligible for this promotion:
                    3.2.1 Existing subscribers who have subscribed for Berita Harian under an existing subscription plan ("Existing Subscription Plan") with SPH which is renewed automatically on a monthly basis ("Existing Month-to-Month Subscribers") may elect to retain their Existing Subscription Plan and subscribe for the Package. Please refer to paragraph 7(b) below for further details.

                    3.2.2 Existing subscribers who have subscribed for Berita Harian under an existing contract ("Existing Term Contract") with SPH which has a minimum subscription period ("Existing Term Subscribers") may elect to: (a) retain their Existing Term Contract and subscribe for the Package; or (b) request for an early termination of their Existing Term Contract and subscribe for the Package. Please refer to paragraphs 7(c) and 7(d) below for further details.

    4. For information on when your subscription to the Package will commence, please refer to the breakdown below:
      4.1 New Subscribers-

                4.1.1. For applications received through the SPH subscription platform, subscription in respect of the Package will commence on or around 2 working days after the subscription application is received by SPH.

                4.1.2. For applications received through call-in, subscription will commence either 1st or 15th day of the upcoming month (subject to processing time of 7 – 9 working days).

      4.2 Vendor Subscribers

                4.2.1 For applications received from 1st – 15th of current month, direct subscription with SPH will commence on the 1st day of the upcoming month.

                4.2.2 For applications received from 16th – 31st of current month, direct subscription with SPH will commence on the 1st day of the following month.

      4.3 Existing Subscribers

                4.3.1. For applications received through the SPH subscription platform, subscription in respect of the Package will commence on or around 2 working days after the subscription application is received by SPH.

                4.3.2. For applications received through call-in, subscription will commence either 1st or 15th day of the upcoming month (subject to processing time of 7 – 9 working days).


    5. To qualify for a Samsung News Tablet Device ("Device"), you must:

      (a) take up a new subscription to the Package or, add on to your existing subscription package;

      (b) agree to maintain your subscription to the Package without any change to your subscription package for the entire duration of the Minimum Subscription Period (where "Minimum Subscription Period" is defined in paragraph 2 above to mean the period of 24 months) applicable to your subscription; and

      (c) your duly completed subscription application form must be received by SPH during the Promotion Period.

    6. SPH has the right to determine your eligibility for this promotion at its sole and absolute discretion and its decision thereon shall be final and binding. Each subscriber is eligible to receive one Device per subscription.
    7. The Package is as follows:

      Minimum Period of Subscription

      24-months

      Fees involved

      New Subscribers and Vendor Subscribers
        (a) New Subscribers and Vendor Subscribers can choose to pay their subscription fees for the Package via the following methods:
                  (i) Monthly payments of S$19.90 per month;
                  (ii) Annual payments of S$238.80 for 12 months of subscription fees in respect of the Package; OR
                  (iii) One-time upfront payment of S$477.60 for 24 months of subscription fees in respect of the Package. This upfront payment option is only available to subscribers who call in to SPH Customer Service.

      Existing Subscribers
        (b) Existing Month-to-Month Subscribers who elect to retain their Existing Subscription Plan and subscribe for the Package may choose to pay their subscription fees via the following methods:
                  (i) Monthly payments of: (a) the prevailing monthly subscription fees in respect of their Existing Subscription Plan; and (b) an additional amount of S$14.90 per month as the subscription fees in respect of the Package;
                  (ii) Annual payments of an amount equal to the sum of: (a) 12 months of their existing subscription fees in respect of their Existing Subscription Plan; and (b) an amount of S$178.80 for 12 months of subscription fees in respect of the Package; OR
                  (iii) One-time upfront payment of an amount equal to the sum of: (a) 24 months of their existing subscription fees in respect of their Existing Subscription Plan; and (b) an amount of S$357.60 for 24 months of subscription fees in respect of the Package. This upfront payment option is only available to subscribers who call in to SPH Customer Service.
        (c) Existing Term Subscribers who elect to retain their Existing Term Contract and subscribe for the Package may choose to pay their subscription fees via the following methods:
                  (i) Monthly payments of: (a) the prevailing monthly subscription fees in respect of their Existing Term Contract; and (b) an additional amount of S$19.90 per month as the subscription fees in respect of the Package;
                  (ii) Monthly payments of the prevailing monthly subscription fees in respect of their Existing Term Contract and annual payments of S$238.80 for 12 months of subscription fees in respect of the Package; OR
                  (iii) Monthly payments of the prevailing monthly subscription fees in respect of their Existing Term Contract and a one-time upfront payment of S$477.60 for 24 months of subscription fees in respect of the Package. This upfront payment option is only available to subscribers who call in to SPH Customer Service.
        (d) Existing Term Subscribers who elect to request for an early termination of their Existing Term Contract and subscribe for the Package may choose to pay the fees due via the following methods:
                  (i) The early termination fees under the Existing Term Contract and monthly payments of S$19.90 per month as the subscription fees in respect of the Package;
                  (ii) The early termination fees under the Existing Term Contract and annual payments of S$238.80 for 12 months of subscription fees in respect of the Package; OR
                  (iii) One-time upfront payment of an amount equal to the sum of: (a) the early termination fees under the Existing Term Contract; and (b) an amount of S$477.60 for 24 months of subscription fees in respect of the Package.
        This early termination option is only available to Existing Term Subscribers who call in to SPH Customer Service.

        Subscribers who opt to make monthly or annual payments of their subscription fees in respect of the Package (i.e. subscribers who choose options (a)(i), (a)(ii), (b)(i), (b)(ii), (c)(i), (c)(ii), (d)(i) or (d)(ii) above) shall collectively be referred to as the "Recurring Subscribers".

    8. SPH has the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to substitute the Device with another device of similar value.
    9. Ownership
        9.1. (Applicable only to Recurring Subscribers) All rights, title and interest in the Device shall pass to the Recurring Subscriber only upon (a) receipt by SPH of full payment of the subscription fees and applicable Package fees for the contractual period of 24 months and (b) satisfaction of the configuration requirements under paragraph 10.1 below (the "Configuration Requirements"). Otherwise, subject to paragraph 11.1, SPH retains all rights, title and interest in the Device provided to each Recurring Subscriber and the Recurring Subscriber agrees not to re-sell or assign his/her interest in the Device during such period. In the event that the Recurring Subscriber terminates the subscription to the Package before the expiry of the 24-month contractual period, the termination fees in paragraph 14 below shall apply.

        9.2. (Applicable only to Recurring Subscribers) At the end of the 24-month contractual period and upon full payment of the subscription fees and applicable Package fees and provided that the Configuration Requirements are satisfied, the Device will be the sole and exclusive property of the Recurring Subscriber.

        9.3 (Applicable to subscribers who choose options (a)(iii), (b)(iii), (c)(iii) or (d)(iii) in paragraph 7 above) Subscribers who make payment of the subscription fees in respect of the Package via a one-time upfront payment and satisfy the Configuration Requirements shall own all rights, title and interest in the Device upon receipt of such one-time upfront payment by SPH and satisfaction of the Configuration Requirements.

        9.4 Notwithstanding that the ownership of Device may be transferred to you in accordance with the terms herein, each subscriber acknowledges and agrees that SPH owns and retains all rights and interest, including all intellectual property rights, in respect of the KNOX programme.

    10. Redemption
        10.1 The Device must be redeemed by subscribers through (a) the designated news tablet redemption centres or (b) the Home Delivery Service in accordance with the instructions and terms as stated on the Gift Redemption Letter which you will receive within two (2) working days upon successful purchase of your subscription (for New Subscribers) or the date of commencement of your direct subscription with SPH (for Vendor Subscribers and Existing Subscribers), provided that you satisfy all relevant eligibility criteria. Devices which are not redeemed by you within four (4) weeks of the date of the Gift Redemption Letter (or such other period stated in the letter) will be forfeited. In such event, for the avoidance of doubt, your obligations under the terms herein (including, without limitation, your obligation to maintain your subscription for the Minimum Subscription Period) will continue to apply in full.

        10.2 Each Device must be configured by SPH, or an authorised personnel approved by SPH, at the point of redemption. The Device will not be released to a subscriber until the KNOX programme is fully configured and installed in the Device.

        10.3 Any Device, once unsealed and opened in accordance with the instructions and/or agreement of a subscriber, is deemed to be purchased and redeemed by the subscriber and the Package may not be cancelled and refunded. All terms stated above will apply with immediate effect and, if the Configuration Requirements are not satisfied, then the subscriber will be deemed to have terminated his / her subscription to the Package before the expiry of the Minimum Subscription Period and will accordingly have to pay SPH the sums due under paragraph 14 below.

    11. Loss and Damage
        11.1 Subscribers shall assume and bear (a) the entire risk of loss and damage to the Device from any and every cause whatsoever and (b) any and all costs involved in repairing and/or replacing the Device on and from the time of redemption of the Device. No loss or damage to the Device or any part thereof shall impair any obligation of subscriber under the subscription, which shall continue in full force and effect through the term of the subscription contract.

        11.2 In the event a subscriber loses the Device, he / she may make a written request for SPH to remotely lock the Device and restrict access to the KNOX programme embedded within the Device.

    12. Where the Device is offered by SPH in connection with your subscription, the following additional terms apply: (a) The Device is only available whilst stocks last; strictly no exchange is allowed after the subscription application is submitted to SPH; (b) You agree and acknowledge that no representations or warranties of any kind, implied, express or statutory, including, without limitation, the warranties of non-infringement of third party rights, title, merchantability, satisfactory quality or fitness for a particular purpose, are given by SPH in respect of the Device. SPH will not entertain any requests to issue any refund or grant an exchange in respect of any Device that is found to be faulty or not fit for use, or for any other reasons; and (c) Device must be redeemed by subscribers in accordance with the instructions and terms as stated on the Gift Redemption Letter which you will receive within two working days upon successful purchase of your subscription (for New Subscribers) or the date of commencement of your direct subscription with SPH (for Vendor Subscribers and Existing Subscribers), provided that you satisfy all relevant eligibility criteria. Devices which are not redeemed by you within 4 weeks of the date of the Gift Redemption Letter (or such other period stated in the letter) will be forfeited. In such event, for the avoidance of doubt, your obligations under the terms herein (including, without limitation, your obligation to maintain your subscription for the Minimum Subscription Period) will continue to apply in full.

    13. Home Delivery Service
      Subscribers may opt to redeem the Devices through the home delivery service (the "Home Delivery Service") for a fee of S$15 per Device(the "Home Delivery Fee”).

      The service provider will arrange for the delivery within 14 working days from the date of purchase of the subscription. Delivery may be scheduled by subscribers directly through a self-appointment system and the service provider will contact the subscribers to confirm the delivery date within seven (7) working days. All queries to cancel or reschedule the appointment should be made directly to the service provider, and SPH will not handle any requests or queries in connection therewith.

      There will be a maximum of three (3) attempts. There will be no refunds made for the Home Delivery Fee after 3 attempts are completed. An additional $15 will be charged for any additional delivery attempts requested.

    14. Upon expiry of the Minimum Subscription Period, you agree that your subscription to the Package will continue in force on the then prevailing terms for such subscription until and unless you provide SPH with notice in writing that you wish to terminate in accordance with the said terms. Upon termination of your subscription to the Package after the expiry of the Minimum Subscription Period, the KNOX programme embedded within your Device will be removed within a period of four (4) weeks.

      (Only applicable in respect of subscribers who have an Existing Subscription Plan or Existing Term Contract at the time of subscription for the Package) For the avoidance of doubt, if there is any inconsistency between the terms and conditions of the subscriber's existing subscription contract and the Specific T&Cs in respect of this Package, the Specific T&Cs shall prevail. If the subscriber's Existing Term Contract contains a minimum subscription period and provides that termination fees will be payable in the event of termination before the expiry of the minimum subscription period under that Existing Term Contract, the subscriber shall be liable to pay all the applicable termination fees under the Existing Term Contract and/or under these Specific T&Cs (as the case may be), in the event that the subscription is terminated prior to the expiry of the respective minimum subscription period under the subscriber's Existing Term Contract and/or these Specific T&Cs.

    15. If you terminate your subscription to the Package before the expiry of the Minimum Subscription Period for any reason whatsoever, or during the Minimum Subscription Period you fail to pay to SPH any sums as and when due and SPH exercises its rights under the Standard Terms to terminate your subscription, the following fees and charges shall also be due and payable by you to SPH upon notice by SPH:
      a. administrative fee of $20; and
      b. termination fees of $500 if the Minimum Subscription Period is twenty-four (24) months.

      For the avoidance of doubt, if you terminate your subscription to the Package before the expiry of the Minimum Subscription Period, the fees in this paragraph 14 shall be due and payable by you. In the event of a termination of a subscription to the Package before the expiry of the Minimum Subscription Period for any reason whatsoever, (a) all of the subscriber's entitlements under the Package (including, without limitation, the Standard Product Warranty (as defined below) and any extension thereon) will cease and (b) all amounts paid prior to the date of termination (including, without limitation, any additional amount paid under paragraph 16 to extend the Standard Product Warranty) will be strictly non-refundable.
    16. Unless SPH has stated expressly otherwise, each subscriber may only enjoy one Package at any time, which may not be applied in conjunction with any other promotions or offers. The subscriber recognises that the Device is provided in connection with the Package and agrees not to sell, rent, lease and/or distribute the Device.

    17. The manufacturer of the Device provides a standard 12-month manufacturer product warranty (the "Standard Product Warranty") in respect of the Device and the subscriber is required to register and activate the warranty online at bhsub.sg/warranty.

      In the event that the Device is spoilt or defective during the warranty period under the Standard Product Warranty (and any extension thereon), the subscriber is responsible for bringing the Device and original redemption letter back to one of the service centres stated in the Gift Redemption Acknowledgement Letter. More information about standard warranty coverage to the Device can be found at bhsub.sg/warranty; in the meantime, subscribers will be able to access publication(s) on beritaharian.sg/ and have concurrent access to Berita Harian mobile application on one device. The subscriber agrees to bear all costs and expenses incurred in connection with the repair or replacement of the Device at any and all times.

      All matters relating to the Standard Product Warranty are solely between the subscriber and the manufacturer and SPH will not be responsible for any discrepancies or changes (if any) in respect of the foregoing. SPH will also not be liable for any direct or indirect claims, actions, demands or complaints, or any liabilities, judgments, compounds, penalties, losses, costs, damages, expenses, personal injury or death in connection with the Standard Product Warranty.

      In the event that the Device is lost or if you wish to replace the Device for any other reason, please contact SPH directly at 6388 3838 to purchase a new Samsung device. The SPH Tab application and KNOX programme are only available on Samsung tablets issued by SPH and/or its authorised agents and service centres. SPH and/or its authorised agents and service centres will not be able to configure a tablet or device purchased through other channels, to include the SPH Tab application and KNOX programme on such tablet or device.

    18. By subscribing for the Package, you consent and agree that SPH and its related corporations shall have the right to manage features of the KNOX programme embedded within your Device, which includes, but is not limited to, the ability to: (a) make modifications and changes remotely to the configuration, deployment and management of the Device's interface, graphics, audio clips, editorial content, images and/or videos, and the scripts and software used to implement the KNOX programme; (b) remotely install applications (including applications from SPH and its related corporations and/or other third parties) on the Device; (c) make modifications and changes remotely to the wallpaper and lock screen image of the Device; and (d) send you advertisements, marketing information and other communications through alerts, push notifications or in any other form or media on your Device. If, during the Minimum Subscription Period, you fail to pay to SPH any sums as and when due, you consent and agree for SPH to remotely lock your Device and restrict access to the KNOX programme embedded within the Device.

    19. By subscribing for the Package, you agree and consent to SPH and its related corporations, collecting, using and disclosing diagnostic, technical, usage and other related data or information, including, but not limited to, unique system or hardware identifiers and information about your Device, that is gathered periodically in an anonymised form in order to improve SPH's products and services, facilitate the provision of software updates, product support and for the purposes set out in the SPH Privacy Policy.

    20. SPH and its related corporations shall in no way be responsible or liable for any loss (including, without limitation, any indirect or consequential loss and damages for loss of profits, business interruption or loss of information), liability, expenses, claims and costs arising out of or in connection with the Device, including, but not limited to, any actual or alleged injury, damage, death or other consequences occurring to any person as a result, directly or indirectly, of the possession or use of the Device whether claimed by reason of breach of warranty, negligence, product defect or otherwise, and regardless of the form in which any such claim is made, save for any liability that cannot be excluded by applicable laws (in which case that liability is limited to the extent allowed by applicable laws).

    21. SPH may, at its sole and absolute discretion, vary, amend or revise the Specific T&Cs and/or terminate or withdraw this promotion at any time without prior notice.

    STANDARD SUBSCRIPTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

    1. These Standard Subscription Terms and Conditions ("Standard Terms") govern your subscription(s) to newspapers published by Singapore Press Holdings Limited ("SPH"), irrespective of the delivery platform or means of access. SPH has the right to amend these Standard Terms from time to time by posting any amendments on its website, and you agree to be bound by these amendments.
    2. All subscription packages and prices reflected on this website are applicable to home subscriptions only.
    3. You must be 18 years old and above to subscribe to our services. If you are below 18 years old, please get your parent or guardian to undertake the subscription.
    4. You also agree to be bound by any specific terms governing payment, subscription fees, minimum subscription periods, entitlements to any gift or premium under any promotion, termination fees and delivery fees which are applicable to your subscription as set out in our application forms for the relevant subscription packages and payment terms you have selected.
    5. SPH has the right to vary subscription fees payable or any other term relating to your subscription from time to time upon giving you at least 14 days' prior notice.
    6. Please take note that if you have opted to take delivery of the print edition of your subscribed newspapers, the applicable Delivery Fee, once charged, is non-refundable. Delivery Fees are charged by residential type, and will be charged by per subscriber account per delivery address.
    7. You should receive a notification acknowledging your subscription within 30 days of confirming your subscription.
    8. All subscription fees are due in advance. Please ensure that payment is made and cleared by your bank before each monthly/annual recurring payment is due. For payments by credit card, your credit card account must be in good standing and remain valid for the monthly/annual charge(s) to be debited successfully. If your credit card has expired, or if you wish to use a different credit card, you must notify us promptly by contacting our Customer Service – Circulation department at least 14 days before your next subscription fee payment is due. If you fail to provide us such notice in a timely manner, you shall be liable for any prevailing administrative, termination or other fees which SPH may impose in accordance with clause 10 below.
    9. Your subscription will continue and be renewed automatically on a monthly basis after the first month/year until you expressly instruct us that you wish to terminate your subscription by providing us with at least 30 days’ prior notice in writing at Customer Service, Circulation Singapore Press Holdings Limited. 1000 Toa Payoh North Annexe Level 6, News Centre Singapore 318994. If the minimum subscription period applicable to your subscription has not yet expired as at the date of such termination, the prevailing administrative, termination or other fees shall also be due and payable by you. Unless otherwise stated by SPH, any renewal of your subscription will be on the then prevailing subscription terms therefor.
    10. If timely payment of your subscription fees or other payments due from you is not made for any reason, or if you breach any other terms and conditions that are applicable to your subscription, SPH may, without prejudice to its rights and remedies at law to recover any sums due from you, suspend or terminate your subscription without further notice or obligation to you and you may be subject to the prevailing administrative, termination or other fees.
    11. If you experience any issues pertaining to delivery of newspapers (including but not limited to non-delivery of print edition of newspapers), please alert us promptly by contacting our Customer Service no later than two (2) days after the date of the newspaper(s) in question.
    12. In the event of any discrepancies or inaccuracies in your invoice/statement/records relating to the payment for your subscription, you must notify us promptly by contacting our Customer Service – Circulation department no later than fourteen (14) days from the date of the invoice/statement/records for us to investigate into the matter, otherwise our records shall be conclusive of the amounts due from you and we will not entertain any disputes in relation to the same.
    13. You confirm that the information provided in your subscription application form is true and correct at the point of application, and undertake to promptly inform SPH if there are any changes to the information provided from time to time.
    14. You may seek a temporary suspension of delivery of print newspaper(s) ("Temporary Stop") by making a Temporary Stop request online at our website at www.sphsubscription.com.sg (click on "Temporary Stop" option under "My Services" section). You agree that any Temporary Stop request (a) is offered on a goodwill basis only and is subject to SPH’s approval in its absolute discretion, (b) must be made at least three (3) clear working days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays) before its intended start date, and (c) must be for a minimum of 3 consecutive days and cannot exceed 30 consecutive days per request.
    15. If you are a Print-only subscriber and your Temporary Stop request is approved for duration of at least 8 days, SPH may in its absolute discretion offer a refund or credit of your subscription for the duration of the Temporary Stop, up to a maximum of 30 days per calendar year in aggregate. All-in-One subscribers are not entitled to any refund or credit of subscription for any Temporary Stop of any duration as they will continue to have access to digital editions of their subscribed publications.
    16. You agree and acknowledge that notwithstanding any approval by SPH of a Temporary Stop request, SPH does not undertake or guarantee that all delivery personnel will carry out Temporary Stop requests without error or at all. In such event, notwithstanding Clause 14, you remain liable to pay for all newspapers delivered to you during any Temporary Stop period requested. SPH shall not be liable for any loss or damage which you may suffer in connection with any continued delivery of newspaper(s) or any Temporary Stop request.
    17. You agree and consent to SPH and its related corporations (collectively, "SPH Group") collecting, using and disclosing your personal data for the purposes of processing your subscription application and to provide you with the products and services you have requested. These purposes are set out in the SPH Privacy Policy which can be found at http://sph.com.sg/legal/sph_privacy.html and which may be amended from time to time.
    18. You agree to the SPH Member Terms and Conditions which can be found at http://sph.com.sg/legal/member_conditions.html and which may be amended from time to time. You agree that SPH’s decision on all matters or disputes relating to or in connection with your subscription and any matters ancillary thereto (including without limitation payment, delivery, promotions or eligibility requirements) are final and conclusive on you. In the event of conflict between these Standard Terms and the SPH Member Terms and Conditions, these Standard Terms shall prevail.
    19. SPH may, by notice in writing posted on its website, assign all of its rights and interests relating to or in connection with your subscription to a wholly-owned subsidiary of SPH (the "Transferee") without your consent.
    20. Without prejudice and in addition to the right under clause 19 above, SPH may, by notice in writing posted on its website (the "Notification"), transfer and/or novate all of its rights, interests, obligations and liabilities relating to or in connection with your subscription to the Transferee, and you shall not withhold your consent thereto. For the avoidance of doubt, you hereby consent to (a) the assignment of all rights of SPH relating to or in connection with your subscription to the Transferee, (b) the assumption by the Transferee of all liabilities of SPH relating to or in connection with your subscription, (c) the release of all obligations of SPH relating to or in connection with your subscription, and (d) the Transferee taking the place of SPH as if it were named in all documents relating to or in connection with your subscription as a party thereto in place of SPH, in each case with effect from such effective date as may be informed in the Notification.
    21. SPH has the right to vary or amend any terms and conditions which may apply to your subscription upon notice in writing by posting to SPH’s website.

    3. When will I be charged for my subscription plan?

      Your subscription term will commence 2 working days after your subscription purchase.

    7. How many concurrent access do I get with this subscription?

      Other than the pre-loaded SPH Tab app that can only be accessed via the Samsung tablet, you also get 1 access to the BH website and 1 access to the BH app.

      If you are bundling the BH News Tablet subscription with another BH package, the total number of concurrent accesses is the sum of what is given for the 2 subscriptions.

      For example, if you are subscribed to the News Tablet + BH All-Digital bundle, you will get access to the SPH Tab app, 2 concurrent accesses to the BH website, and 5 concurrent accesses to the BH app.

    8. When does the promotion end?

      There is currently no end date for the promotion, but we do have limited quantities for the tablet, so do grab the promotion while stocks last!

    9. What happens if I want to terminate my subscription after the contract expires?

      All subscriptions are contracted on a 24-month basis, but recurring billing will continue after your contract expires. If you wish to terminate your subscription after your contract term ends, you can email circs@sph.com.sg and our Customer Service team will assist you.

    13. Using Berita Harian News Tablet


    14. Help! I can’t seem to log in or access the app.

      The App comes with an auto-login function so you only need to login to your account for the first time. If you experience any difficulties in logging in, go to the top right corner of your browser window to open the Settings menu. Tap on Refresh Login under the Services section.

    15. I need help with using the SPH Tab (News Tablet) App.

      There is an in-app tutorial flow which you can activate to bring you through the app’s features. Tap on the icon at the top right corner of your browser window and select Show Tutorial to activate this.

    17. Does the tablet support a SIM card?

      No, but you can connect to Wi-Fi on the tablet to access the internet.

    18. Can I download other apps and read email on my tablet?

      Yes, absolutely! You can download any other apps on your tablet, read your email, and use the browser, just like you would on a regular tablet.

    19. Can I change the lock screen and wallpaper on my tablet?

      During the period of your subscription with us, the SPH Tab app, lock screen and wallpaper will be managed by SPH for the purposes of ensuring a seamless and interactive reading experience for you. This allows us to automatically load each day's e-paper into your app for your reading convenience. To find out more about the terms and conditions regarding the management of your device, please refer to point 17 in our T&Cs.

    20. Does the tablet come with an S pen?

      No, the tablet does not come with an S pen.

    21. Is the Samsung Galaxy Tab A the latest model in the market?

      Yes, it is the latest Tab A Wi-Fi 10.1” (as at Jan 28, 2020).


    22. Redemption, Warranty, and Replacement of Devices


    23. Does the tablet come with a warranty?

      Yes, the tablet does come with a 1-year standard warranty from Samsung. For more information on the warranty coverage, please visit bhsub.sg/warranty.

    24. I lost my device/ need a replacement.

      In the event where a replacement of device is needed, please do not purchase a new set from any other channels, as we will not be able to install the SPH Tab (News Tablet) application on devices that are not purchased directly from SPH. Please contact SPH directly at 6388 3838 to purchase a new Samsung device.

    25. Will there be any additional charges for this delivery?

      Yes you can opt in for the Home Delivery service at S$15 per tablet.

    26. Will I be able to schedule a specific delivery time (e.g 12pm)?

      No, you will unfortunately not be able to indicate your preferred timing.

      The News Tablet will be delivered from Mon - Sat (9am - 10pm)

    27. What if I am not around during the time of delivery?

      There will be a maximum of two (2) additional attempts to redeliver the tablet to you in the next 7 days. You can also reschedule with the courier by calling their hotline at 6602 8271 between 9am - 10pm, Mon - Sat for a convenient time for you.

    28. Can someone else receive the delivery for me?

      Yes, you can authorise someone else to receive the tablet on your behalf. Simply sign off on the authorisation letter that is in the redemption letter sent to you, and show it to the courier at the point of redemption for verification.

      Do note that you will also be required to present the original or photocopies of your identity cards (both you and the person you are authorising) during the collection, for verification purposes. We will not be collecting the photocopies.

    29. Can I make arrangements for the tablet to be left in my letterbox, riser, etc.?

      No. To ensure the safety of your device, the subscriber (identified by the name and corresponding NRIC/FIN number) will need to be present to receive the tablet and acknowledge the receipt through his/her signature.

    30. Will I get help to configure my tablet or will I have to do it myself should I choose to opt in for the home delivery route?

      All tablets will be securely handled by our appointed courier who will ensure that the tablet is delivered in the best condition to your doorstep. The tablet box will be opened and the tablet will be pre-configured prior to your delivery.

      The courier will require you to verify your Login ID (as stated in your redemption letter) at the point of delivery when the tablet is handed over to you.

    31. How do I change my contact details or address for the home delivery, if necessary?

      If there is a change in your address and/or contact details, please contact our customer service team at 6388 3838.

    HOW TO PARTICIPATE

    1. The 2020 News Tablet NDP Lucky Draw ("Lucky Draw") is organised by Singapore Press Holdings Limited (address: 1000 Toa Payoh North, News Centre, Singapore 318994) (the "Organiser" or "SPH") and the draw date of the Lucky Draw is September 15, 2020.

    TERMS & CONDITIONS

    General

    1. Participation in the Lucky Draw is subject to the Contests & Lucky Draws Terms and Conditions available at http://sph.com.sg/terms-and-conditions/online-contests/ (the "General T&Cs") and these Terms and Conditions (the "Specific T&Cs") (collectively, the "T&Cs").
    2. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the General T&Cs and the Specific T&Cs, the Specific T&Cs shall prevail to the extent of such conflict or inconsistency.
    3.     Eligibility

    Mechanics of Lucky Draw

    1. A draw will be conducted electronically on September 15, 2020, 9am, at SPH News Centre. Eligible participants will automatically be eligible for the Lucky Draw and winners of the Lucky Draw will be selected from the eligible participants. Subscribers need not submit any separate entry or application form for the Lucky Draw.
    2. All winners will be notified by email/phone by September 22, 2020. The results of the Lucky Draw will also be published on readsph.sg/winners within 7 days after the draw date.

     

    Prizes

    1. Each participant in the Lucky Draw may win a maximum of one (1) prize, and any subsequent drawing of a participant's entry as a prize winner will be disregarded.
    2. All winners are required to present their NRIC for identification purposes, and to sign a written statement confirming their eligibility before collecting their prize won.
    3. Participant affirms the accuracy of all information provided to the Organiser and accepts that any misrepresentation of any fact or particulars (deemed as material by the Organiser) shall result in disqualification and/or forfeiture, withholding, withdrawal or reclaiming of any prize won.
    4. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and non-cash prizes cannot be exchanged for cash.
    5. The Organiser accepts no responsibility for any tax or other liability that may arise from the prize winnings.

    WARRANTY

    1. The prizes come with a 1-year standard manufacturer's warranty ("Warranty").
    2. To be entitled to the Warranty, the winners would have to register through the warranty website (readsph.sg/illy) upon collection of the prizes.
    3. The winners will be required to produce your Redemption Receipt issued by the redemption centre (Mojito Redemption) as a Proof of Receipt. The date of the Warranty starts on the date of redemption as indicated in the redemption receipt.

     

    Miscellaneous

    1. By participating in the Lucky Draw, participants agree that:

      1.1. any and all personal data submitted may be collected, used and/or disclosed to SPH and its related corporations (collectively "SPH Group") and the Lucky Draw sponsor(s) for various purposes, including to communicate with the participant for purposes related to the Lucky Draw, to provide goods and services to the participant upon request, to send the participant marketing information on products and services offered by the SPH Group or other parties, and for such purposes that the participant may have otherwise given his/her consent to SPH Group.

      1.2. SPH Group may collect, use, disclose and share amongst themselves and their respective service providers, the participant's personal data, including the photographs or audio-video or other recordings of these participants ("Material") for publicity and/or use in advertisements across all media, including, without limitation, in SPH Group's publications, presentations, promotional materials on their websites, in its original or edited format, and whether to promote the Lucky Draw or otherwise without further notification, remuneration or compensation; and

    4. Kegagalan mematuhi Terma & Syarat boleh melucutkan kelayakan peserta dari Cabutan Bertuah, dan hadiah yang dimenangi boleh diambil balik, ditahan, ditarik balik atau dituntut semula.

     

    Kelayakan

    1. Mereka yang berumur di bawah 18 tahun tidak boleh menyertai Cabutan Bertuah. Cabutan Bertuah ini hanya dibuka kepada warga Singapura, Penduduk Tetap dan pemegang Pas Pekerjaan.
    2. Pekerja Penganjur, atau rakan kongsi / penaja, peruncit, pemborong, sekutu dan ahli keluarga terdekat dari setiap pihak yang disebutkan di atas tidak layak untuk menyertai Cabutan Bertuah.
    3. Semua pemenang harus mengambil hadiah dari News Centre SPH, yang terletak di 1000 Toa Payoh North, Singapura 318994, dalam tempoh pengambilan.

     

     

    Mekanisme Cabutan Bertuah

    1. Cabutan akan dilakukan secara elektronik pada 15 September 2020,9 pagi di News Centre SPH. Peserta yang layak untuk Cabutan Bertuah akan disertakan secara automatik dan pemenang Cabutan Bertuah akan dipilih daripada peserta yang layak. Pelanggan tidak perlu menghantar borang penyertaan atau permohonan berasingan untuk Cabutan Bertuah ini.
    2. Semua pemenang akan diberitahu melalui e-mel / telefon selewat-lewatnya pada 18 September 2020. Pemenang Cabutan Bertuah juga akan disenaraikan di readph.sg/winners dalam masa 7 hari selepas tarikh cabutan.

     

    Hadiah

    1. Setiap peserta dalam Cabutan Bertuah boleh memenangi maksimum satu (1) hadiah, dan setiap cabutan berikutnya dari penyertaan peserta sebagai pemenang hadiah akan diabaikan.
    2. Semua pemenang dikehendaki mengemukakan Kad Pengenalan mereka untuk tujuan pengenalan diri, dan menandatangani pernyataan bertulis yang mengesahkan kelayakan mereka sebelum mengambil hadiah yang dimenangi.
    3. Peserta mengesah ketepatan semua maklumat yang diberikan kepada Penganjur dan menerima bahawa sebarang penyalahgunaan fakta atau butir-butir (yang dianggap sebagai bahan oleh Penganjur) akan mengakibatkan penyingkiran dan / atau pelucutan, penolakan, penarikan atau penolakan semula hadiah yang dimenangi.
    4. Hadiah tidak boleh dipindah milik atau ditukar dan hadiah bukan tunai tidak boleh ditukar dengan wang tunai.
    5. Penganjur tidak bertanggungjawab terhadap sebarang cukai atau liabiliti lain yang mungkin timbul dari kemenangan hadiah.
    6. Hadiah tertakluk pada ketersediaan dan Penganjur berhak untuk menggantikan hadiah apa pun dengan hadiah dengan nilai yang sama atau lebih besar yang akan diberikan sebagai ganti, tertakluk kepada undang-undang yang relevan.
    7. SPH Group berhak, pada bila-bila masa mengikut budi bicara mutlaknya, untuk mengganti, menarik diri, menambah atau mengubah sebarang hadiah tanpa pemberitahuan kepada peserta.

     

    Pelbagai

    1. Dengan menyertai Cabutan Bertuah, para peserta bersetuju bahawa:
      1. mana-mana dan semua data peribadi yang dihantar boleh dikumpulkan, digunakan dan / atau diungkapkan kepada SPH dan syarikat-syarikat yang berkaitan (secara kolektif "SPH Group") dan penaja Cabutan Bertuah untuk pelbagai tujuan, termasuk untuk berkomunikasi dengan peserta untuk tujuan yang berkaitan dengan Cabutan Bertuah, untuk memberikan barang dan perkhidmatan kepada peserta atas permintaan, untuk menghantar maklumat pemasaran peserta mengenai produk dan perkhidmatan yang ditawarkan oleh SPH Group atau pihak lain, dan untuk tujuan tersebut bahawa peserta mungkin telah memberikan persetujuannya untuk SPH Group.
      2. SPH Group boleh mengumpulkan, menggunakan, mendedahkan dan berkongsi antara mereka dan penyedia perkhidmatan masing-masing, data peribadi peserta, termasuk gambar atau audio-video atau rakaman lain peserta ("Bahan") untuk publisiti dan / atau digunakan dalam iklan di semua media , termasuk, tanpa batasan, dalam penerbitan, persembahan, bahan promosi SPH Group di laman web mereka, dalam format asalnya atau di-edit, dan sama ada untuk mempromosikan Cabutan Bertuah atau sebaliknya tanpa pemberitahuan, saraan atau pampasan lebih lanjut; dan
      3. hak cipta dan semua hak harta intelek lain di dan untuk semua Bahan akan terletak hak sepenuhnya dan semata-mata dan mutlak dalam SPH tanpa pampasan selanjutnya.
    2. Peserta tidak boleh, tanpa persetujuan bertulis dari SPH terlebih dahulu, bercakap dengan media atau media lain atau memberi wawancara atau komen yang berkaitan dengan Cabutan Bertuah.
    3. SPH Group tidak akan bertanggungjawab atas kehilangan (termasuk, tanpa batasan, kerugian tidak langsung atau akibat), kerosakan, kecederaan diri atau kematian berkaitan dengan Cabutan Bertuah, atau hadiah apa pun, kecuali liabiliti yang tidak dapat dikecualikan oleh undang-undang (dalam hal ini bahawa liabiliti terhad kepada minimum yang dibenarkan oleh undang-undang). Semua tuntutan jaminan berkenaan dengan hadiah apa pun harus ditujukan kepada pengeluar atau pembekal perkhidmatan yang berkenaan. Kecuali sejauh yang mereka tidak boleh dikecualikan oleh undang-undang, tidak ada pernyataan, jaminan, terma atau syarat yang tidak dinyatakan secara jelas dalam terma dan syarat ini berlaku untuk pertandingan ini atau berkenaan dengan hadiah dan semua jaminan tersirat akan dikecualikan, termasuk tetapi tidak terhad kepada, jaminan tersirat kualiti, kebolehdagangan atau kesesuaian yang memuaskan untuk tujuan tertentu mana-mana hadiah.
    4. SPH mempunyai hak untuk mengubah atau meminda terma dan syarat Cabutan Bertuah apabila diberitahu secara bertulis dengan menghantar ke laman web Penganjur. Penganjur tidak akan bertanggungjawab atas kehilangan (termasuk, tanpa had, kerugian tidak langsung atau akibat), kerosakan, kecederaan diri atau kematian yang berkaitan dengan Cabutan Bertuah, atau hadiah apa pun, kecuali untuk sebarang liabiliti yang tidak dapat dikecualikan oleh undang-undang (dalam yang mana liabiliti itu terhad pada minimum yang dibenarkan oleh undang-undang).
    5. Kegagalan untuk menuntut hadiah yang diberikan dalam tarikh penebusan yang dinyatakan dalam e-mel atau pemberitahuan yang dihantar oleh Penganjur akan menjadikan tuntutan peserta untuk hadiah tidak sah. Penganjur berhak untuk menangani semua hadiah yang tidak dituntut dengan cara yang mana difikirkan sesuai.
