Standard Subscription Terms & Conditions

  1. These Standard Subscription Terms and Conditions ("Standard Terms") govern your subscription(s) to newspapers published by Singapore Press Holdings Limited ("SPH"), irrespective of the delivery platform or means of access. SPH has the right to amend these Standard Terms from time to time by posting any amendments on its website, and you agree to be bound by these amendments.
  2. All subscription packages and prices reflected on this website(Eshop) are applicable to home subscriptions only.
  3. You must be 18 years or older to subscribe. If you are below 18 years old, please get your parent or guardian to undertake the subscription.
  4. You also agree to be bound by any specific terms governing payment, subscription fees, minimum subscription periods, entitlements to any gift or premium under any promotion, termination fees and delivery fees which are applicable to your subscription as set out in our application forms for the relevant subscription packages and payment terms you have selected.
  5. SPH has the right to vary subscription fees payable or any other term relating to your subscription from time to time upon giving you at least 14 days’ prior notice.
  6. Delivery fees are charged by residential type, and will be charged by per subscriber account per delivery address.
  7. Subscribers should receive their acknowledgement letter within 30 days upon application of subscription.
  8. All subscription fees are due in advance. Please ensure that payment is made and cleared by your bank before each monthly/annual recurring payment is due. For payments by credit card, your credit card account must be in good standing and remain valid for the monthly/annual charge(s) to be debited successfully. If your credit card has expired, or if you wish to use a different credit card, you must notify us promptly by contacting our Customer Service – Circulation department via 6388 3838 at least 14 days before your next subscription fee payment is due. The hotline is available from 8.30am to 6pm on Monday to Friday, 8am to 12 noon on Saturday and Sunday except on public holidays. If you fail to provide us such notice in a timely manner, you shall be liable for any prevailing administrative, termination or other fees which SPH may impose in accordance with clause 7 below.
  9. Your subscription, if on either a monthly/annual-recurring mode, will continue and be renewed automatically on a monthly/yearly basis after the first month/year until you expressly instruct us that you wish to terminate your subscription by providing us with at least 30 days’ prior notice in writing at SPH LIMITED, 82 Genting Lane, Media Centre, Level 2 Circulation Division, Customer Service, Singapore 349567. If the minimum subscription period applicable to your subscription has not yet expired as at the date of such termination, the prevailing administrative, termination or other fees shall also be due and payable by you.
  10. If timely payment of your subscription fees or other payments due from you is not made for any reason, or if you breach any other terms and conditions that are applicable to your subscription, SPH may, without prejudice to its rights and remedies at law to recover any sums due from you, suspend or terminate your subscription without further notice or obligation to you and you may be subject to the prevailing administrative, termination or other fees.
  11. In the event of any discrepancies or inaccuracies in your invoice/statement/records relating to the payment for your subscription, you must notify us promptly by contacting our Customer Service – Circulation department no later than fourteen (14) days from the date of the invoice/statement/records for us to investigate into the matter, otherwise our records shall be conclusive of the amounts due from you and we will not entertain any disputes in relation to the same.
  12. You confirm that the information provided in your subscription application is true and correct at the point of application, and undertake to promptly inform SPH if there are any changes to the information provided from time to time. You have also authorised and consent to SPH collecting, using and disclosing to the relevant banks the credit card / bank account details for the purposes of processing your payment of the subscription and delivery fees prevailing from time to time and due to SPH in accordance with the subscription terms herein.
  13. For information on when subscription and delivery of newspaper to your delivery address will commence, please refer to the table below:

  14. If you experience any issues with respect to the delivery of print newspaper(s) (including without limitation non-delivery), please contact our Customer Service – Circulation department no later than two (2) days after the date of the print newspaper(s) in question.
  15. You may seek a temporary suspension of delivery of print newspaper(s) ("Temporary Stop") by making a Temporary Stop request online at our website at www.sphsubscription.com.sg (click on "Request for Temporary Stop" option under "Newspapers" section). You agree that any Temporary Stop request (a) is offered on a goodwill basis only and is subject to SPH’s approval in its absolute discretion, (b) must be made at least three (3) clear working days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays) before its intended start date, and (c) must be for a minimum of 3 consecutive days and cannot exceed 30 consecutive days per request.
  16. If you are a Print-only subscriber and your Temporary Stop request is approved for duration of at least 8 days, SPH may in its absolute discretion offer a refund, credit or extension of your subscription for the duration of the Temporary Stop, up to a maximum of 30 days per calendar year in aggregate. All-in-One subscribers are not entitled to any refund, credit or extension of subscription for any Temporary Stop of any duration as they will continue to have access to digital editions of their subscribed publications.
  17. You agree and acknowledge that notwithstanding any approval by SPH of a Temporary Stop request, SPH does not undertake or guarantee that all delivery personnel will carry out Temporary Stop requests without error or at all. In such event, notwithstanding Clause 13, you remain liable to pay for all newspapers delivered to you during any Temporary Stop period requested. SPH shall not be liable for any loss or damage which you may suffer in connection with any continued delivery of newspaper(s) or any Temporary Stop request.
  18. If you have subscribed under a contract/promotional package and choose to terminate your Contract Subscription before the expiry of the Minimum Subscription Period for any reason whatsoever, or during the Minimum Subscription Period you fail to pay to SPH any sums as and when due and SPH exercises its rights under the Standard Terms to terminate your subscription, the following fees and charges shall also be due and payable by you to SPH upon notice by SPH:
    • a. administrative fees of $20; and
    • b. termination fees of $100 if the Minimum Subscription Period is twelve (12) months, $200 if the Minimum Subscription Period is twenty-four (24) months, or $500 if the Minimum Subscription is thirty-six (36) months.
  19. You agree and consent to SPH and its related corporations (collectively, "SPH Group") collecting, using and disclosing your personal data for the purposes of processing your subscription application and to provide you with the products and services you have requested. These purposes are set out in the SPH Privacy Policy which can be found at http://sph.com.sg/legal/sph_privacy.html and which may be amended from time to time.
  20. You agree to the SPH Member Terms and Conditions which can be found at http://sph.com.sg/legal/member_conditions.html and which may be amended from time to time. You agree that SPH’s decision on all matters or disputes relating to or in connection with your subscription and any matters ancillary thereto (including without limitation payment, delivery, promotions or eligibility requirements) are final and conclusive on you.

Bundle Packages Subscription Terms & Conditions

  1. Only individual subscribers with a home address in Singapore are eligible to subscribe to the bundle package subscriptions.
  2. Eligibility
    • a. New subscribers
    • b. Vendor subscribers
    • c. Existing direct subscribers not under a contract
    • d. Existing direct subscribers that currently have a contract for one of the publications of the bundle package is eligible to upgrade to the bundle package subscription. The remaining contract period will then be brought forward to the new bundle package subscription.
  3. Existing direct subscribers that have contracts for both publications of the bundle package are not eligible to upgrade to the bundle package subscription.
  4. Print copies must be delivered to the same delivery address, and changes to subscription such as Change of Address, Start/Stop, Temp Stop must be performed together.
  5. For non-delivery, refund/credit will only be given to the affected publication.

STANDARD SUBSCRIPTION TERMS & CONDITIONS – LIANHE ZAOBAO SUBSCRIPTION CAMPAIGN 2016

  1. These Standard Subscription Terms and Conditions ("Standard Terms") govern your subscription(s) to newspapers published by Singapore Press Holdings Limited ("SPH"), irrespective of the delivery platform or means of access. SPH has the right to amend these Standard Terms from time to time by posting any amendments on its website, and you agree to be bound by these amendments.
  2. If you are below 18 years old, please get your parent or guardian to undertake/fill up this application form.
  3. You also agree to be bound by any specific terms governing payment, subscription fees, minimum subscription periods, entitlements to any gift or premium under any promotion, termination fees and delivery fees which are applicable to your subscription as set out in our application forms for the relevant subscription packages and payment terms you have selected.
  4. SPH has the right to vary subscription fees payable or any other term relating to your subscription from time to time upon giving you at least 14 days prior notice.

  16. You agree to the SPH Member Terms and Conditions which can be found at http://sph.com.sg/legal/member_conditions.html and which may be amended from time to time. You agree that SPH’s decision on all matters or disputes relating to or in connection with your subscription and any matters ancillary thereto (including without limitation payment, delivery, promotions or eligibility requirements) are final and conclusive on you.

  18. CONTRACT SUBSCRIPTION PROMOTION – ZB APRIL CAMPAIGN TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  19. The CONTRACT SUBSCRIPTION PROMOTION – ZB APRIL CAMPAIGN TERMS AND CONDITIONS apply in addition to STANDARD SUBSCRIPTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS where you are subscribing for a newspaper with a gift or other promotion ("Premium").
  20. This promotion is valid till 31 May 2016 and is not valid with other promotions. Applicable for home subscription in Singapore only, with a twenty-four (24) or thirty-six (36) months subscription package for Lianhe Zaobao (ZB) and is not valid with other promotions.
  21. Applicable for:
    New subscribers: Subscribers who do not have Zaobao subscription plan with SPH (Not eligible for those subscribers who subscribed to Lianhe Zaobao in the past 90 days.)
    Vendor subscribers: Subscribers who are currently paying their Zaobao subscription fee to a newspaper vendor.
    Not eligible for existing subscribers who renew/upgrade their subscriptions.
  22. Vendor subscribers to refer to the table below:

  23. To qualify for a Premium, you must (a) take up a new ZB Subscription, (b) agree to maintain your subscription without any change of your subscription package for the entire duration of the minimum subscription period applicable to the relevant publication and the Premium you have applied for 2-year or 3-year, and (c) your duly completed subscription application form must be received by SPH within the relevant promotion period from 15 April 2016 until 31 May 2016. Requests for extensions of the Promotion Period will not be entertained, and applications for subscriptions received by SPH after the Promotion Period will not qualify. SPH has the sole right to determine your eligibility for any Premium promotion at its sole and absolute discretion and its decision thereon shall be final and binding.
  24. A subscription to a publication is a “New Subscription” if no member of the same household has at any time previously subscribed to that publication directly with SPH or within 90 days of the submission of the subscription application. For the purposes of this CONTRACT SUBSCRIPTION PROMOTION – ZB APRIL CAMPAIGN TERMS AND CONDITIONS, a “household" refers to a domestic unit comprising members of the same family who have the same billing address and/or delivery address. Only one (1) Premium may be redeemed or enjoyed per eligible subscription, per household.
  25. SPH has the right and discretion to substitute any Premium with any other premium of similar value.
  26. Strictly no exchange or re-election of Premium is allowed after the subscription application is submitted to SPH.
  27. You agree and acknowledge that no representations or warranties of any kind, implied, express or statutory, including without limitation the warranties of non-infringement of third party rights, title, merchantability, satisfactory quality or fitness for a particular purpose, are given by SPH in respect of any Premium. SPH will not entertain any requests to issue any refund or grant an exchange in respect of any Premium that is found to be faulty or not fit for use.
  28. Premiums must be redeemed by subscribers in accordance with the instructions and terms as stated on the Premium Redemption Letter which you will receive about thirty (30) days after 31 May 2016. Premiums which are not collected by you within 3 months of the Premium Redemption Letter will be forfeited. In such event, for the avoidance of doubt, your obligations under this STANDARD SUBSCRIPTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS (including without limitation to maintain the subscription for the Minimum Subscription Period) will continue to apply in full.
  29. Upon expiry of the Minimum Subscription Period, you agree that your subscription for the same publication will continue in force on the then prevailing terms for such subscriptions (“Contract Subscription”) until and unless you provide SPH with notice in writing that you wish to terminate in accordance with the said terms.
  30. If you terminate your Contract Subscription before the expiry of the Minimum Subscription Period for any reason whatsoever, or during the Minimum Subscription Period you fail to pay to SPH any sums as and when due and SPH exercises its rights under the Standard Terms to terminate your subscription, the following fees and charges shall also be due and payable by you to SPH upon notice by SPH:
    • A. administrative fees of $20 ;
    • B. termination fees of $100 if the Minimum Subscription Period is twelve (12) months, $200 if the Minimum Subscription Period is twenty-four (24) months, or $500 if the Minimum Subscription is thirty-six (36) months.
  31. SPH has the right to vary or amend any terms and conditions herein upon notice in writing by posting to SPH’s website.
  32. Unless SPH has stated expressly otherwise, each subscriber may only enjoy one promotional or Premium offer at any time, which may not be applied in conjunction with any other promotions or offers.
  33. BUNDLE PACKAGE SUBSCRIPTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  34. The BUNDLE PACKAGE SUBSCRIPTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS apply in addition to STANDARD SUBSCRIPTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS and CONTRACT SUBSCRIPTION PROMOTION – ZB APRIL CAMPAIGN TERMS AND CONDITIONS where you are subscribing for a newspaper with a gift or other promotion ("Premium").
  35. Only individual subscribers with a home address in Singapore are eligible to subscribe to the bundle package subscriptions.
  36. Promotion is only eligible for signing up of bundle package of 2 publications which are both are new subscriptions.
  37. Print copies must be delivered to the same delivery address, and changes to subscription such as Change of Address, Start/Stop, Temp Stop must be performed together.
  38. For non-delivery, refund/credit will only be given to the affected publication.

  1. 此份标准订阅条款与条件(简称"标准条款")适用于您所订阅的新加坡报业控股(简称"报业控股")报刊,包含所有报刊平台、登录阅读帐号。报业控股有权利在其官方网站随时修改此标准条款,并且您同意接受任何标准条款修改的约束。
  2. 如果您未满18岁,请由您的父母或监护人完成/填写此份订阅表格。
  3. 关于您的订阅在我们的订阅表格中所相关的订阅配套及您所选择的付款条件,您也同意并被约束于任何特别条款指定款项、订阅费、最短订阅期、任何订阅优惠活动所获得的赠品、订阅取消费及派送费等。
  4. 报业控股有权利在14天前向您通知任何订阅费的调整或修改关于您订阅报刊的条款与条件。
  5. 所有订阅费都是以预先支付方式付款。请确保您的银行户口得以支付每月/年的订阅款项。关于信用卡支付,请确保您的信用卡帐户保持良好信用并且能成功支付每月/年的订阅款项。如果您的信用卡已经过期或您希望使用不同的信用卡,请于每月/年款项支付前14天向我们的发行部客服中心联络。如果您未能在款项支付前14天通知我们,您必须承担支付以下第7点报业控股所要求的相关行政费、订阅取消费或其它费用。
  6. 从您开始订阅报刊第一个月后,您的订阅每月会自动续约直到您向我们通知停止订阅服务。若您要停止订阅,请于30天前以书面通知邮寄到SPH LIMITED, 82 Genting Lane, Media Centre, Level 2 Circulation Division, Customer Service, Singapore 349567。如果您的合约尚未到期,您必须支付行政费、合约取消等其它费用。
  7. 如果您未于缴费期限内支付订阅费及其它因素未能缴清欠款或违反任何条款与条件,报业控股可在不影响其在法律上之权利向您要求支付欠款或者在无任何提前通知下停止您的订阅服务且您必须支付相关行政费或其它订阅取消等费用。
  8. 如果您在订阅过程中,发票、结单或纪录有任何差异或不符合您的订阅款项,您必须在收到发票、结单或纪录14天内向我们的发行部客户服务中心联络以调查问题原因,否则我们的记录则是决定您所最终所需支付的金额,我们不会接受任何的申诉及退款。
  9. 您确认在送出订阅表格时所提供资料是正确的并且保证如果有任何更改都必须向报业控股立刻进行通知。
  10. 有关您的报刊订阅及印刷版派送时间何时生效,请参考以下表格:

    报贩订户 如果我们于2016年4月15日至5月15日收到您的订阅表格 您向报业控股直接订阅日期则为2016年6月1日开始。
    如果我们于2016年5月16日至5月31日收到您的订阅表格 您向报业控股直接订阅日期则为2016年7月1日开始。
  11. 如果您遇到任何报纸派送问题(包含但不仅限于印刷版报纸未派送问题),请于发生派送问题的2天内向我们的发行部客服中心联络。
  12. 您可通过我们的网站www.sphsubscription.com.sg(点击"My Service"中的"Request for Temporary Stop")进行暂停派送印刷版报纸服务(简称"暂停派报服务")。您同意这项暂停派报服务 (a) 是报业控股提供便利之服务且保有最终决定处理权 (b) 至少需在3个工作天前(不包含星期六、日及公共假期)完成暂停派报之预定 (c)且每次至少暂停3天以上及最多不超过30天。
  13. 如果您是印刷版订户且您所使用的暂停派报服务已被确认,并且每次只少暂停8天以上,每年最多不超过30天,报业控股将根据您的暂停天数退还部份款项、馀额退还或延长您的订阅。多合一综合配套(All-in-One)订户使用暂停派报服务,不得享有任何退款、馀额退还或延长订阅之权利因为订户仍然可继续使用数码平台阅读报刊。
  14. 您同意且确认无论报业控股批准您的暂停派报需求,报业控股并不承担或保证所有暂停派报服务无任何差错。在上述情况下,无论您是否符合标准订阅条款与条件中的第13条,订户仍然需支付在暂停派报期间所有报刊订阅费用,且无论订户是否继续收到报纸或已要求暂停派报服务,报业控股不会承担订户任何损失。
  15. 您同意且准许报业控股及其子公司(统称"报业控股集团")收集、使用、透露您的个人资料作为订阅申请使用及提供您要求的产品及服务。 这些用途详载于新加坡报业控股个人隐私政策http://sph.com.sg/legal/sph_privacy.html且报业控股有权利随时修改。
  16. 您同意新加坡报业会员控股条款与条件列在http://sph.com.sg/legal/member_conditions.html且报业控股可随时修改此条款与条件。您也同意所有报业控股的最终决定若关于到您的订阅或影响其它任何附带纠纷(包含但不仅限于订阅款项、派送、促销活动或其它参加需求)是不可被否决的。

  18. 促销活动订阅条款与条件 - 早报四月份订阅促销活动


  19. 本促销活动订阅条款与条件附加于标准订阅条款与条件,适用于促销活动订阅配套有提供任何赠品或其它奖励。
  20. 此促销活动截止日期为2016年5月31日,不得与其它优惠活动共同使用。仅适用于签订联合早报任一配套24个月或36个月合约并且住家派送地址仅限于新加坡地区。
  21. 本活动仅适用于:
    • A. 早报新订户: 目前无订阅任何联合早报配套。(不适用于过去90天内取消或订阅早报配套之订户)
    • B. 报贩订户:目前向报贩订阅早报的订户转为直接向报业控股订阅。
    本活动不适用于既有订户更新合约或升级配套。订阅跨报配套的订户,两份报刊都需为新订阅,如果其中一份报刊目前已向报业控股订阅,恕无法参与此促销活动。
  22. 为了符合赠品获取资格,您必须(a)是早报新订户或报贩订户转为直接向报业控股订阅,(b)在合约期间同意维持您所申请的订阅配套及赠品且在合约24个月或36个月之内不得以更改或取消合约,及(c)您必须在2016年4月15日至2016年5月31日活动期间呈交订阅表格或申请配套给报业控股。活动截止日期不得延期且申请日期超过活动期间则不具有活动参与资格。报业控股有最终权利决定您是否具有活动参与资格以获取活动赠品。
  23. "新订户"之定义为同一家庭户口未曾直接向报业控股订阅过联合早报报刊或者在过去90天中未曾订阅或取消联合早报报刊。本促销活动订阅条款与条件所指出的"家庭户口"是指同一个住宅单位及其家庭成员使用相同的帐单地址或派送地址。每个家庭户口仅限于兑换一份赠品或参与此促销活动。
  24. 报业控股有权利及保留最终处理权以用相同价值的赠品取代任何赠品。
  25. 订户呈交表格给报业控股后,不得更换或重新选择赠品。
  26. 您了解与同意报业控股所提供之赠品不会给予任何形式、默示、明示或法定的担保或维修服务,包括但不限定保障不侵犯第三方权利、所有权、商业适售性、商品满意度及特定目的的适用性。报业控股不会提供任何毁损赠品之退款或交换服务。
  27. 订户约会于2016年5月31日后30天内收到赠品兑换书且必须依照赠品兑换书上的指示前往兑换赠品。所有赠品于活动结束后3个月内未被兑换将被取消。若赠品被取消,您还是毫无疑问的必须继续完成标准订阅条款与条件所要求的义务(包括但不仅限于维持合约中所指定的最短订阅期)。
  28. 当您的订阅合约到期后,您同意且根据当时的条款与条件继续维持同一份报刊订阅配套(合约订阅配套)直到您以书面通知报业控股终止合约及其条款与条件。
  29. 如果您在合约期满前以任何理由终止合约或在合约期间内未能支付订阅款项给报业控股,报业控股有权利根据基本条款与条件停止您的订阅且会向您通知收取以下费用:
    • A. 行政费 $20;
    • B. 合约取消费,若是12个月合约需支付$100、24个月合约需支付$200、36个月合约需支付$500。
  30. 报业控股有权利修改任何条款与条件并以以书面通知形式更新在报业控股网站。
  31. 除非报业控股有特别表示,否则每位订户同时只能参与一次促销活动或获得一份赠品,也不可与其它促销优惠活动合併使用。

  32. 跨报配套条款与条件


  33. 本跨报配套条款与条件附加于标准订阅条款与条件及促销活动订阅条款与条件,适用于促销活动订阅配套有提供任何赠品或其它奖励。
  34. 需为住家订户且住家地址在新加坡才可订阅跨报配套。
  35. 订阅跨报配套的订户,两份报刊都需为新订阅,如果其中一份报刊目前已向报业控股订阅,恕无法参与此促销活动。
  36. 两份报刊印刷版派送地址需为同一地址。如有更改订阅资料如更改地址、启动/停止订阅、暂停派送,两份报刊需一起执行。
  37. 如发生未派送状况,只有受影响的报刊会予以退款或其它方式补偿。
